Not at home in the office, wanting a quick lunch break or immediately clocked collar worker is a classic problem. Creating comfortable home office is almost impossible.
But you can still fiddling with your territory: a work desk.
Most office desks limit and the other one with cubicles. Cubicles often makes inmates feel isolated without the privacy.
Carol M. Olmstead, author Feng Shui Quick Guide for Home and Office: Secrets for attracting Wealth, Harmony, and Love, gives a simple tip to make your cubicle more comfortable and support your career advancement. Include the following.
1. Position your desk in such a way that you can see the whole cubicle although was facing the monitor. Make sure you can see the entrance to your cubicle. It's called the "power position" in fengshui.
If the shift table is not possible, you can put a mirror that can reflect what's going on behind you. It symbolizes you will not be "caught" flagship projects by competitors or co-workers, if they suddenly go.
2. Messy desk can be an unpleasant hint. In feng shui, clutter on your desk could mean the inability to move forward and many decisions are pending.
If you leave your desk a mess, do not be surprised if you come stunted career. Work table just to the files you're working alone. Other archives can be stored in storage archives. Do not pile all your cramped cubicle.
3. The chair represents your career. Choose a chair that was comfortable and clean. The chair represents the gross indifference of the career. If your chair rips asked to be replaced as soon as possible.
4. Stress and fatigue can occur due to staring at the monitor for too long. Keep greenery near your monitor at a distance at least about 90 cm to correct the negative electromagnetic energy produced by the computer. Green plants still connect you with nature.
